Portugal - Fatima to Lisbon

We made our way through the small town to the Alcobaca Monastery. It was not as large as the Batalha Monastery but it was impressive just the same. Architecturally it looks quite severe just as it was ordered by St Bernard of the Cistercian Order of monks. The church was consecrated in the mid 1200s.
